Roles and Responsibilities:

• Review Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) and paper Technical Manual (TM) Work Packages for accuracy
• Edit XML and graphic files when necessary
• Attend Team meetings internally and with the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) as required
• Log comments related to the IETM or TM and submit them to OEM for changes
• Track review progress and deficiencies in SharePoint
• Travel is required for this position (50-70%)
• This is a TEMPORARY POSITION until September 29th, 2026, with possibility of becoming permanent

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in an applicable technical field (an additional 8 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree)
• 5 years technical writing/editing experience
• Experience with XML authoring and editing for Technical Manuals
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) and Security Clearance to be considered for position.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Interactive Authoring and Display System (IADS) viewer for Electronic Interactive Technical Manual (IETM)
• Knowledge of the Validation and Verification processes for Army Technical Manual development and fielding
• Experience using, editing and creating IETMs and paper Technical Manuals
• Familiarity with mechanical drawings and data

• Willing to learn new things and to pass knowledge on to others
• A Team Player teamwork is an essential requirement for this position
