Now back to what I was saying, unlike my family, my kid’s father mother was a single parent, his father died when they were young; he had 12 siblings beside himself.
Unfortunately, when I met him, he was not in school, not because he did not want to go, it was because of the circumstances surrounding his Home Life. In addition, he and his brothers also found themselves getting in trouble with the law at a young age.
You see since it was so many siblings in the household, in so little money coming into the household and him being about the forth oldies of the bunch, he felt that he had no other choice. So he get a job a young age to provide for him self and so he could be financial able to help his mother support the younger siblings.
Anyway, when I found out I was pregnant I continue to go to school he continue working.
Just as I said above, he had gotten into some trouble with the law before we met.
Therefore, when it came time for him to go to court, he was looking at serving some time in jail. Well he went to court and when he when before the judge the judge found him guilty and he gave him two years in a day of jail time.
When the judge handed down his sentence, he told me at that point he looked at his lawyer and told him that he could not go to jail. Because he had a child on the way and that, he needed to be where he could continue to work, so he could be there to support his child.
He also told me when he told his lawyer that. The lawyer went before the judge and pleaded with him on those facts and the fact that he had a steady job and had had it for quite some time. Well the judge had sympathy, because of the facts. Therefore, he gave him two years probation instead of jail time.
From that day forward, he did not get into Anymore trouble with the law.
However, by me being pregnant with his child, changed his perspective on life and made him to want a better life for himself, and he's child.
I also must say, although he found himself in those predicaments at a very young age. I can say that he was a very smart in intelligent and likable young man and he did take father hood very seriously.
Well as I have said, he was working when I met him he was 17 years old and he worked for the city at the time. As time when on he had several more jobs, one of those jobs was with a telephone company, and eventually he left that job and started driving eighteen Wheelers. He stuck with the truck-driving job for years. I did not work for years I was a homemaker. I would travel over the road with my husband occasionally.
To be continued. Smile
