~* Back to the question about the legacy *~ 03 (289 hits)

I am going to switch gears for a minute, so I can share a little bit about how he and I met.

Well my family and I stay in a corner house on one of the main streets at the time. One summer day I was out in the yard minding my own business and all of a sudden, I heard someone talking. Therefore, I looked up to see who it was; it was this woman and this skinny boy riding along side her on a bicycle coming down the sidewalk.

Little did I know at the time that the woman I looked up at and seen coming down the sidewalk would one day become my sister in law and that skinny boy that was riding along side her would one day become my Husband and the father of my children’s?

Before that day, I had never seen them in the neighborhood. However, I found out later they had just moved into the neighborhood.

After that day I would see them periodically walking by.

This one particular day stands out in my mind very clearly, if I am not mistaking I have walked up to the corner store that was about a block from my house. Up on me leaving the store, I ran into them. Now when he would see me, he would never say anything to me He would just smile at me. Now his sister on the other hand would always speak. This particular day she did more than just speak she asked me what my name was in was not I the girl that lived up the street. I told her yes I was.

After I told her that she looked at me, smiled again, and said that her brother liked me. I told her at the time that I was not off into boys and I smiled and when on home.

Anyway, that was the beginning of us becoming acquainted with one another.

I talked about that above because I want to talk a little bit about his sister in her life.
I tell you all what I think she was a remarkable women and I love in admired the courage and the strength which she displayed as a person and as a mother of nine children’s.

Regardless to the circumstances surrounded, her life back in the day she never did let it beat her down.

Her life to me displayed what true motherhood was all about. She was a very loving person also, She passed away about 30 years ago and she had nine children.

To be continued. Smile
